Easter Visit to St. Gregory of Narek Spiritual Center in Rustavi
On April 12, 2026, the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church celebrated the Sunday of Easter according to its liturgical calendar, which coincided with the Feast of the Glorious Resurrection of Christ as observed by the Georgian Orthodox Church.
With the blessing of His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan, Rev. Father Hovsep Harutyunyan, head of the Diocese’s “St. Gregory of Narek” Spiritual, Educational, and Youth Center in Rustavi, celebrated the festive Divine Liturgy at the Vemkar (rock at the bottom of the Altar).
During the sacred service, the celebrant priest delivered a sermon appropriate to the occasion, speaking about the Feast of the Holy Resurrection — the victory of life over death and of good over evil.
Rev. Father Hovsep conveyed to the faithful the congratulations and good wishes of the Diocesan Primate and, together with Deacon Gevorg Avetisyan, blessed the willow branches, the symbol of Palm Sunday, as well as the Easter offerings brought by the faithful. The day became truly festive for the Armenian faithful in Rustavi.
