Easter Festivities and Egg-Tapping Game at
The Feast of the Glorious Resurrection is traditionally celebrated with great solemnity at the “St. Moses of Khoren” Preschool of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, with the active participation of the children. On April 1, 2026, on the eve of Easter, with the blessing of His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan, the Diocesan Primate, the Easter festivities of the “St. Moses of Khoren” Preschool were held at the “Hayartun” Center of the Diocese.
The Calouste Gulbenkian Hall of the Center had taken on a beautiful appearance, decorated with traditional Easter elements, while the tables shimmered with brightly colored eggs and festive sweets.
The event began with welcoming remarks by the Director of the “Hayartun” Center, Eugenia Markosyan, followed by the Lord’s Prayer offered by all present. On the occasion of the approaching Easter feast, the Diocesan Primate’s message of blessing and congratulations was conveyed to those in attendance, and Rev. Father Samvel Torosyan delivered an appropriate reflection on the meaning of the Holy Resurrection.
The atmosphere became festive as the children began to speak about the Feast of the Holy Resurrection and Armenian traditions. This was followed by joyful songs, dances, and recitations, after which the traditional egg-tapping game began, bringing great joy and lively excitement to those gathered in the hall.
The event dedicated to Holy Easter became a beautiful and memorable celebration aimed at instilling Christian values among Armenian children in Georgia and preserving national traditions.
