Lecture and certificate presentation to graduates

On June 24, 2025, with the blessing and in the presence of His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, a lecture and presentation of graduation certificates was held at the Diocesan "Hovhannes Tumanyan’s House" Center. Rimma Aslanyan, a 12th-grade student at Yerevan's Pushkin School No. 8, delivered a lecture highlighting a turning point in Armenian history, the spread of Christianity by St. Gregory the Illuminator. The presentation was dedicated to the topic “Strong Roots, Bold Future.”
Rimma Aslanyan presented the period of Christianity’s spread in Armenia using slides. She highlighted how the adoption of Christianity was closely linked to another major national advancement in Armenian history—the creation of the Mesropian alphabet. The lecture concluded in an engaging manner with quotations of inspiring thoughts and an interactive reflection with the audience on the meaning and significance of the Armenian script.
Appreciating the comprehensive report delivered by the school-aged speaker, Eugenia Markosyan, Director of “Hayartun” Center of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia and Head of the Education Department, emphasized the importance of mastering the mother tongue and knowing the Armenian alphabet in shaping the identity of Armenians worldwide. As confirmation of the lecture’s message, she referenced the one-day Armenian language schools operating in various regions of Georgia and in Tbilisi, supported by the Armenian Diocese in Georgia.
At the conclusion of the event, with the blessing and by the hand of the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, graduates of the 2023–2025 two-year courses from the Diocese’s “St. Elias the Prophet” Sunday School (teachers: Roza Zohrabyan, Yenokh Tadevosyan) and “St. Gregory of Narek” Saturday School (teachers: Tamara Gaboyan, Enokh Tadevosyan) received their certificates of completion.
