Film from “Our Great Figures” Series Dedicated to Memory of Tbilisi-Armenian Architect Gabriel Ter-Mikelov

The Armenian company Grand Candy regularly provides the “Hayartun” Center of the Diocese of the Armenian Church in Georgia with documentary films from its series “Our Great Great Figures,” dedicated to the memory of distinguished sons of our nation, especially when the contributions of Tbilisi-Armenian figures hold a worthy place among representatives of culture, art, education, architecture, and other fields.

On November 16, 2025, with the blessing of His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, and on the initiative of historian Yenok Tadevosyan, President of the Union of Armenian Intellectuals of Georgia, a documentary film dedicated to the memory of the prominent Tbilisi-Armenian architect Gabriel Ter-Mikelov was screened at the “Hayartun” Center.

After the opening remarks by the director of the “Hayartun” Center, Eugenia Markosyan, historian Yenok Tadevosyan spoke about the work of Armenian architects in Tbilisi and Baku, the indelible mark they left on urban development, and the life and legacy of the film’s protagonist, Gabriel Ter-Mikelov.

The impression was profound; the audience expressed genuine appreciation both for the film and for the historian’s presentation, as well as gratitude to the Grand Candy company for helping pass down the memory of the nation’s prominent figures to future generations through documentary films.

The screenings of documentaries from the “Our Great Figures” series will continue at the “Hayartun” Center.
