Easter Divine Liturgy in Armenian Diocese in Georgia

On April 5, 2026, the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church solemnly celebrated the Glorious Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. The day was also festive in the functioning churches of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, where Easter Divine Liturgies were celebrated.

At Holy Etchmiadzin church in Tbilisi, the Divine Liturgy of the Feast of the Holy Resurrection was celebrated by His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia. The Divine Liturgy was preceded by the Morning Service and the Blessing of the Four Corners of the Earth (Andastan). ceremony.

Representatives of the state authorities and many faithful Armenians were present at the festive Divine Liturgy.

During the Divine Liturgy, the celebrant, His Grace the Bishop Kirakos Davtyan, read the Patriarchal message of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, addressed to the Armenian faithful worldwide on the occasion of the Holy Resurrection, proclaiming: “Christ is risen from the dead.”

His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan also blessed the dyed eggs and proclaimed the good news of the Savior’s Glorious Resurrection.
