“Childhood” Exhibition by “Hayartun” Center’s ART Club and Yerevan’s “BalaYan” Studio

On June 14, 2025, the “Hayartun” Center of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia welcomed students from Yerevan’s “BalaYan” Art Studio, accompanied by their teachers and parents. A joint exhibition titled “Childhood” was organized, showcasing the works of the “Hayartun” Center’s ART Club (teacher: Anna Karapetyan) and the Yerevan ART Studio (director: Sofi Balayan). The walls of the hall were decorated with colorful and expressive drawings inspired by children's imagination, covering a wide range of themes. A masterclass was also held, during which the children of the art groups from Tbilisi and Yerevan painted portraits of the person sitting next to them and created small handmade gifts, which they then exchanged with one another.

Rev. Father Kirakos Simonyan, spiritual servant of the St. Etchmiadzin Church of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, conveyed paternal blessing and good wishes of His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese. Rev. Father Kirakos highly appreciated the educational significance of the work carried out by the art studios in fostering the aesthetic development of the younger generation.

Eugenia Markosyan, Director of the “Hayartun” Center, welcomed the guests and noted that the Center’s ART Club, which was formed just a few months ago and consists of children aged 5 to 9, was able to showcase its work at its very first event successfully. Sofi Balayan, Director of Yerevan’s “BalaYan” Art Studio, expressed her gratitude for accepting the proposal to hold a joint event and expressed hope that the mutual collaboration would continue.

The event concluded with an exchange of gifts and an ice cream treat.
