Order of the Burial of Chris at Armenian Churches in Tbilisi

On April 18, 2025, on Good Friday of Holy Week, with the blessing of His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, and with the participation of clergy and the faithful, the Order of the Burial took place at the Cathedral of Saint George in Tbilisi, and the symbolic tomb was brought out of the church in commemoration of the burial of Christ. The clergy gathered around the tomb and sang the hymn "Your Cross." Afterwards, everyone kissed the cross and the Gospel placed on the tomb.

The same ceremonies were also held at Saint Etchmiadzin church in Avlabari and in all active churches of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia.
