Easter Visit and Blessing to Armenian Churches of Shahumyan and Karmir Villages
On April 12, 2026, with the blessing of the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan, Rev. Father Kirakos Simonyan, accompanied by Deacon Otari Gigaouri, made an Easter pastoral visit to the Surb Astvatsatsin Church of Shahumyan and the Holy Evangelists Chapel in Karmir village of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, offering their blessings to the faithful.
The faithful of both villages had gathered with Easter offerings to take part in the celebration of the Sunday of Easter, as observed according to the calendar of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Rev. Father Kirakos conveyed to those present the blessing of the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia and proclaimed the good news of the Glorious Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, as celebrated according to the calendar of the Georgian Orthodox Church, offering words of congratulations and well-wishes. Filled with spiritual blessing, the Armenian faithful celebrated Holy Easter in a joyful spirit.
